SERVE Advisory Group plays a crucial role in providing diverse services and support to the Veteran Health Administration (VHA) and related areas of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Focusing on strategic communications, SERVE ensures effective communication of the VHA's mission and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. The group employs innovative communication strategies to enhance understanding of VHA programs, promoting transparency. In technical writing, SERVE assists the VA in creating clear and informative documentation for healthcare initiatives.
In customer experience, SERVE collaborates with the Veteran Crisis Line (VCL) to provide compassionate support during critical moments. Suicide prevention efforts include strategic collaboration with the VCL for enhanced outreach and intervention. Patient safety is a priority, with contributions to initiatives alongside the National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS) aimed at continuous improvement.
SERVE also provides crucial support in electronic health record modernization (EHRM) governance and council, working with the Office of Health Valuation Program (OHVP) to ensure seamless integration and effective utilization of advanced health information technologies within the VA.
